There are number of features by considering which we can say that it is better than the Android Marshmallow. Such as,

  • The display of notification in the panel as well as on the lock screen is redesigned fully. It allows Android users to reply directly to different notifications without having to access the main window. There is also a feature called Bundled notifications. Instead of showing notifications chronologically, it is bundled from the same app together. This feature is at present accessible on all smart watches running on Android Wear.
  • Split screen mode which is flexible with portrait and landscape both the orientations on smart phones as well as tablets. This feature is very extraordinary on the newly released Google’s ‘Pixel C convertible tablet’. User can easily adjust the slider amongst multiple windows being shown on the display screen. Users can able to toggle between different applications without any trouble. For enterprises, multi window capability is key as it enable users to perform multitasking in more smooth way.
  • You might get irritated by every single icon which appears on your status bar which fills up almost all the space on it. You can now customize all of this stuff as per your need regarding icons for Bluetooth, WI-Fi, Airplane mode, cellular data, alarms, volume and more. All the settings are completely customizable for better User Interface. You can also set seconds to the time display as well as disable the time overall.
  • The night/dark mode is effectively changing the colors by making it comfortable for users to read in the dark night. It will not only darken the User Interface, but users can also decide to regulate the tint as well as screen brightness. There is also a feature to automatically turn the night mode on at sunset.
  • If you download any file on your device from Gmail, chrome or any other platform, you simply get notification which illustrate you the progress; nothing else. This whole scenario will change somewhat in Android N with the adding of a ‘Cancel’ button that enables you to quickly cancel the download.
  • With Android N, you can easily switch between active apps without even touching the screen. You just need to perform double-tapping on the overview button on your phone. It enables you an exceptionally simple way to go back & forward with your two most recently operated applications.
  • The new ‘Data Saver” option assist to decrease cellular data usage by application. The system blocks background data usage and alerts apps to make use of less data by limiting bit rate for streaming, reducing image quality, and many more things.
  • The Doze Mode saves battery whenever the screen turns off by cutting off all background processes.

In preview form, rare bug and all, Android N is an important development compare to Marshmallow. However, it may possible that you will not get all the features in the final version.
